Larsa Pippen is getting serious with Marcus Jordan, but The Real Housewives of Miami star is trying to keep their romance quiet, due to history,
Larsa Pippen hasn’t officially confirmed her rumored romance with Marcus Jordan because The Real Housewives of Miami star is trying to keep it on the “low.” Larsa and Marcus have been fueling romance rumors after they were spotted on a lunch date in Miami earlier in September. The 48-year-old mother of four has a weird history with her new 31-year-old boyfriend, considering Marcus is the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan. Marcus’ famous father used to be teammates with Larsa’s ex-husband, Scottie Pippen.
Michael and Scottie also aren’t on the best terms, which makes Larsa’s new romance even more troublesome. Larsa and Marcus first sparked dating rumors after they were seen dining at the Japanese restaurant Zuma in Miami. They were both casually dressed, but onlookers couldn’t help wondering if the two might be dating. The lunch date came a few weeks after Larsa appeared on Melissa Gorga’s podcast and opened up about how “hard” it is trying to date after being married to an NBA star. Larsa said it was a challenge to meet a guy that could stand up to Scottie’s physique and good looks. Since their divorce, Larsa has mostly been linked to other basketball players aside from her short-lived fling with rapper Future. Sources attempted to shut down suspicions about Larsa and Marcus.
But now, new insider reports say otherwise. “Marcus and Larsa are dating and have been spending more time together in recent weeks,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are trying to keep it on the down low because of the rift between Scottie and Michael.” Larsa and Marcus were seen looking “very cuddled up” while dining at Catch Steak in New York City. “They are definitely an item,” the insider confirmed. During the NYC date night, onlookers noted how “obvious” it was that Larsa “was really into him.” The Bravo star couldn’t stop “hugging and kissing him” throughout the night. Eyewitnesses say Larsa “was practically sitting on his lap by the end of the dinner,” and her behavior was “quite distracting” to the other patrons.
Scottie and Michael are two NBA champions who played alongside each other with the Chicago Bulls in the 1980s and 90s. Together, they achieved legendary success, scoring back-to-back NBA championships in the early days. Their success was documented in the 2020 docuseries The Last Dance. But Scottie shunned the doc in his 2021 memoir and accused Michael of editing the documentary to only praise his contributions to the team. “They glorified Michael Jordan while not giving nearly enough praise to me and my proud teammates,” Scottie wrote in his memoir Unguarded.
Shortly after releasing the memoir, Scottie and Larsa finalized their divorce in January 2022. The pair were married for 20 years and share four children together. While Larsa is single and can mingle with whomever she chooses, dating someone with such close and scarred ties as Marcus can spell trouble. However, Larsa and Marcus are seemingly going strong. The Real Housewives of Miami star appears to be going into season 5 with a new man by her side. But if she’s keeping things private, it’s a guess what Larsa will share on the show.
