90 Day Fiancé star Karine says she and her sons are suffering in the ongoing custody battle for Pierre and Ethan after her split with Paul in 2021.
Karine Martins shared a heartbreaking update about her and Paul Staehle’s sons with 90 Day Fiancé fans after the former couple lost custody of Ethan and Pierre. Paul and Karine’s relationship that began on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 1 met its first roadblock when the American man had to take permission from the Brazilian woman’s parents to get married. But soon, deeper issues such as their 20-year age gap, infidelity, a language barrier, and past secrets started to tear the couple’s marriage apart. Despite their numerous splits, fans thought Karine and Paul would make things work for their two kids.
But instead, they ended up separating in 2021 when footage of Karine allegedly assaulting Paul went viral online. After the incident, Paul and Karine both seemingly lost custody of the kids. It appears that Paul had won full custody of the children in December 2021, but as of now, according to Paul, both Pierre and Ethan are with Child Protection Services. The court apparently considered Paul and Karine unfit for parenting. Online reports claim that Pierre and Ethan are with foster parents. In early June, fans were shocked to read that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent out a missing person’s alert for Pierre. The now-deleted bulletin also included a photo of Paul. Eventually, Paul spoke to the media and claimed that he wasn’t missing but was on a work trip with Pierre until he returned the child on July 3.

Amidst all the drama surrounding their kids, Karine didn’t address the drama and instead went about posting glam videos on Instagram and was accused of being irresponsible by fans. Karine claimed she wasn’t allowed to talk about the situation online, while also adding that the children are her top priority in an August update. In her recent Instagram post, however, Karine shared details about where the custody battle stands. Karine shared a sweet video of her playing with her sons, in which the little boys looked happy to be with their mom. For fans that may have thought 90 Day Fiancé star Karine has finally been reunited with Pierre and Ethan she wrote, “I come here to say that my children are not with me yet, but I can see them.”
Karine admitted that she “can’t take it anymore,” because there are times when Karine wants to talk about what the three of them are going through. Karine assured fans that she’s always a “good mother” but also that she’s “going through it.” She wrote about how it’s not just she who suffers. “My children suffer too,” Karine added. To her little ones, Karine said, “I will never stop fighting for you two. Pierre and Ethan, you are my life.” Karine also included the same statement in Portuguese in the caption. 90 Day Fiancé celeb Karine’s comments are now filled with messages from fans who are supporting her and asking her to not give up. They are wishing luck to Karine and her boys.

TLC viewers hope that things work out in the best interest of Paul and Karine’s children. They are happy that as of now, Karine is at least being allowed to interact with the kids.
